Use credit usage alerts to get an email when your organization’s credit consumption crosses a threshold. Alerts help you catch unusual usage before it becomes an unexpected bill or an interrupted workload. Alert section of the Usage page, showing the three default credit alerts with their thresholds, recipients, and statuses

Credit Alert Availability

Credit usage alerts are available on the Team and Enterprise plans. Members with the Developer or Admin role can view alerts on the Usage page. Only Admins can create, edit, and delete alerts.

Credit Alert Workflow

Alerts work like this:
  • Each alert has a threshold, a list of recipients, and an optional label.
  • Your organization’s consumption for the current billing period is checked against each alert’s threshold every hour.
  • When consumption crosses the threshold, the recipients receive an email. Each alert emails at most once per billing period, then starts watching again when the next period begins.

Default Alerts

By default, organizations on the Team and Enterprise plans have three alerts that are sent to members with the Admin role. Default alerts can be deleted.

Create an Alert

Members with the Admin role can create alerts. To create an alert:
  1. Go to the Usage page and scroll down to the Alert section.
  2. Click Create Alert.
  3. Enter the Alert threshold: a number and its unit (Credits, USD, or % of quota).
  4. Add up to 20 Recipients. Recipients must be members of your organization. A recipient who later leaves the organization stops receiving emails.
  5. To describe the alert, add an optional Label (for example, “Finance overage warning”).
  6. Click Create alert.

Edit or Delete an Alert

Members with the Admin role can edit and delete alerts. To change or remove an alert, open it from the alert table on the Usage page, then update its values or click Delete Alert.

Alert Threshold Units

All three threshold units measure the same quantity: the credits your organization consumes in a billing period. The create dialog shows your subscription quota and the next reset date, and previews the equivalent credit value as you type.

Alert Status

The alert table on the Usage page shows one of two statuses for each alert. Statuses reset automatically when a new billing period starts.
